How to extract text from an image

Is my image uploaded?
No. The OCR engine runs on your own device, so your photo never leaves your phone or computer.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. Choose Hindi or English + Hindi to read Devanagari text. A language pack downloads the first time you use it.
Can it read handwriting?
OCR is built for printed text. Neat handwriting may work partly, but printed pages give the most accurate results.
Why is the first run slow?
The OCR engine and language data load once from the web, then reading is much quicker for later images.
Can I get the text as a Word file?
